Smart Board

I have used a smart board before and I love it. I think it is a great way to involve and interest the students. I have seen news website showing teachers using thier smart boards and it makes hands on learning really fun. I hope I have the opportunity to use this technology.

Internet Safety

I think it is really important to have internet safety and I am glad we are going over this in class. I didn't learn internet safety until high school, but I am glad we will be teaching this in elementary school.

Picasa

I love Picasa! I've always wanted to learn photoshop, but haven't found the time to learn everything. Picasa is easy to use and a lot of fun! I really enjoy working with this program.

Digital Photography

I love photography, but it never occurred to me how I could use this medium in the classroom. Photographs and photography programs such as Picasa can help students visualize and experiment.

Pioneer Library

Pioneer Library is an amazing website for teachers! It is wonderful to be able to go to one site and have so many different and awesome resources in one spot. I never knew there were so many great resources found in Pioneer Library. I am so excited to use them!

myuen is a great website for teachers, parents are students. I am excited to use this resource as a teacher. I think it is wonderful that parents and students will have access to things such as lesson plans and learning website. What a great resource!

Technology in the Classroom

I am extremely impressed by the program provided at Auburn Early Education Center and Maine’s Middle School. Technology has changed education for the better and has provided teachers with amazing resources. In the future, I hope to discover new technologies to help my student become life long learners through the technological advancement that are available during my career.
